ABOUT ME
I have been a resident of Janesville my whole life. A proud graduate of Parker High School in 1991, I got my start owning and operating a local lawn service company. Later, I joined the Marine Corp Reserve and got my Police Science degree from Blackhawk Technical College. In 1995, I became a Corrections Officer with the Rock County Sheriff's Office where I worked for 22 years and assisted in the training of over 100 officers. I was employed as a part time police officer for the Village of Orfordville for 9 years, while I was serving at the Sheriff's Office.
In 2017, I was hired to the Janesville Police Department where I work today. One of more unique experiences of my job was my work on the Homeless Outreach Team. This leadership experience has given me a position as a board member of an area homeless shelter. I have also had the opportunity to work with the Crisis Intervention Team, having experienced the hard work of the professionals of the mental health field.

These and other experiences have shaped me as a person and a leader. Working in this service-oriented environment has given me insight into how people live and the issues they face each day. I see firsthand how our state laws effect our citizens and if elected, I will use this experience to listen and legislate on your behalf. I am ready to go to work for you.

MY PRIORITIES
ADDRESSING RISING COSTS AND STRENGTHENING OUR WORKFORCE: With the cost of living on the rise, we must make every effort to ensure you keep more of your hard-earned money and push back against efforts to raise your taxes. The State's budget is hard-earned money from the hard-working citizen, so it should reflect the needs and views of the people. A stronger economy starts with a strong workforce. With employers across our area begging for employees, it is crucial that we strengthen training opportunities to grow our state's workforce. I will support strengthening our apprenticeship programs to help people find great careers to support their families.
SAFE COMMUNITIES: As a law enforcement officer, I work every day to keep our communities safe. Unfortunately, soft-on-crime policies have left the door open for criminals. Violent offenders are arrested and released right back into the community. I have heard and witnessed firsthand the concerns of our citizens. As your representative in the Assembly, I will work to strengthen our laws to hold criminals accountable and keep violent offenders off our streets. I have been endorsed as a candidate by more than one source. The one which is most meaningful to me is the endorsement of the Wisconsin Professional Police Association (WPPA). I am proud to have worked alongside these professionals!
EMPOWERING PARENTS AND PUTTING KIDS FIRST: Ensuring our children have the opportunity for a great education is a top priority. That's why I support reforms to give parents more information, transparency, and options when it comes to their child's education. I will always push for policies that truly put our kids first. School safety and supporting those who teach our children is also very important.
